Third annual European Food Festival hits Hanoi

VietNamNet Bridge - Following the success of the second annual European Food Festival, held in Hanoi to celebrate Europe Day in 2006, the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham) is set to bring the event back for a third year.
The Festival will take place in the stunning garden of the National Library of Vietnam from 5pm on May 24, bringing together the capital’s leading hotels and restaurants for a gastronomic night to remember.
“The Festival aims to offer a taste of Europe to the people of Hanoi, bringing the Vietnamese and European communities a night of food, drink and entertainment”, EuroCham Hanoi Director Nicholas Greenfield said.
But while fine food and drink might be in the spotlight, there’s more on offer at the festival than just a taste of Europe. The event will feature live entertainment from two famous bands in Hanoi as well as belly dancers and sports dancers, a fashion show from Alcado, and an extra-special lucky draw with prizes including hotel, resort, spa and restaurant vouchers, as well as an international return trip courtesy of the National Flag Carrier Vietnam Airlines.
Director Greenfield said the Festival also aims to promote the diversity of Europe through a showcase of its culinary arts, and to promote co-operation and deepen understanding between the Vietnamese and European communities.
